  • We are considering serving canapés with the welcoming drinks, how does this work?
Usually we will offer a selection of 5 types of canapés from https://epicatering.co.uk/menus-sussex-caterers/canape-catering/ and allow for at least 7 pieces per guest; separate plates of canapés would be served to the gluten free or vegan guests.

Pricing for this would be somewhat dependent on your choice of the 3 meats/proteins (some menu items have higher food costs than others).

  • How is wedding catering pricing determined and why are there no prices listed on your website?
All events have different requirements making it difficult to list pricing on our website. We have to take into consideration several factors including the menu selections, the number of guests attending, the location of the venue and the appropriate level of staffing needed.
  • If we were to book EpiCatering for our wedding celebration, what are the next steps?
Brilliant news! We would send you an event confirmation summary outlining all catering aspects of the big day including the financial matters. Allow for a least 1 year when planning your wedding reception; please keep in mind that if you want to have your wedding on a Saturday in June, July, August or September, these dates will be the ones that get fully booked first with wedding venues and well-established catering companies.

Our advice would be to get as much of your wedding planned as early as possible in order to alleviate some of the stress involved - weddings can be fairly complicated, get some help from the professionals!
  • What happens if there are any last-minute guest count changes?
We do ask that your confirmed guest count along with any dietary restrictions be in place 2 weeks prior to the date of your wedding celebration. Once this has been provided we will be unable to reduce your confirmed guest count, although there is a possibility that we may be able to add some guests at the last-minute.

We used Epicatering for our International Women's Day Gala. Marcus and the team were amazing, service was professional and nothing was too much trouble. They even managed to overcome the barrier of concrete staircases with al fresco catering whilst still serving a high end three course meal to our indoor theatre venue Everyone loved the food and I can vouch personally for the beef bourguignon 😁. We would definitely use them again for any of our large scale catering events 💜

Over the years, Epicurean Catering Services has become shortened to EpiCatering. Epicurus was an ancient Greek philosopher and sage who founded Epicureanism; he taught his students that pleasure was a sign of the good, and pain a sign of evil. Epicurean refers to a devotion to pleasure or refined, sensuous enjoyment, especially of good food and drink.
